Poly-Lite stretch is five layer co-extruded cast film that can be used in both hand and machine applications. Poly-Lite stretchfilm typically gives a 60% increase in yield and a 40% cost saving per pallet over traditional products.
Disadvantages of traditional hand rolls:
Very noisy to use
Sticky on both sides so stretch wrapped pallets stored next to each other will stick to each other. This can be dangerous when unloading from a delivery wagon
Needs to be properly stretched to be effective which is very hard work by hand and a potential health and safety hazard
When stretching the film you are narrowing the width which results in more film having to be used and consequently a higher cost to wrap each pallet and increased waste
Advantages of Poly-Lite stretch:
Low noise
Sticky only on the side that needs to stick to the pallet
Stretched by machine to 600 metres at the point of manufacture, maximising the yield and making it less hard work to use
Supplied on wider rolls to give maximum output and reduce the time taken to wrap each pallet
